Disc cutters are produced from forged alloy steel and manufactured in our machining facilities using solid model program and 3D- CMM to ensure quality.
The cutter has to perform tremendous stress from machines under the trust,
underground enviroment, and variable ground conditions. This is an unpredictable wear and tear which increases the cost of the tunnel. We minimize that problem by achieving better bearing design, sealing and proper cutter ring fabrication techniques.
Alloyed steel forged disc cutters are machined in-house by using solid model program and approved after 3D-CMM report to ensure quality. The tests are performed after the assembly of disc cutters and final torque and pressure tests are reported for acceptance. Disc cutters are used in either mixed ground or hard ground mechnized boring.
TIMKEN roller bearings have been used in our single, double and twin disc cutters.
